Gubernatorial Candidate Jay Collins Meets with Sheriff Brian Lamb and Speaks at Town Hall in Lafayette County
MAYO, FL — Today, decorated Green Beret, Lieutenant Governor, and Gubernatorial Candidate Jay Collins met with Lafayette County Sheriff Brian Lamb, visited Lafayette Logging, LLC in Branford, and spoke to voters at the Lafayette County Republican Executive Committee town hall.
Jay Collins met with Sheriff Brian Lamb for a tour of the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office, the county jail, and a ride-along. Brian Lamb has served as the Sheriff of Lafayette County since 2008. He began his career in 1997 as a deputy in Lafayette County and eventually became a sergeant, before joining the Florida Highway Patrol as a trooper.

During the ride-along, Jay Collins and Sheriff Lamb stopped by family-owned business Lafayette Logging, LLC to see the business’ operations.

“It was great to spend time with Sheriff Lamb, who has protected this community since 1997 as a deputy,” said Jay Collins. “We need to make sure that law enforcement in Lafayette County and all our rural communities have the tools and training they need to be successful and keep Floridians safe. Under my leadership, Florida will remain a law and order state and the best place to live, work, and raise a family.”
In the evening, Jay Collins met with voters at the Lafayette County Republican Executive Committee and shared his background as a Green Beret, his time in the Florida Senate, and his priorities as Lt. Governor. He took questions about property tax relief, veterans issues, and agriculture.
